UI Guide
Overview of the SeqLens interface for power users.
Window layout
- Title bar: App icon, project name (dropdown for recent projects), and menus: File, Edit, Select, View, Help.
- Filter bar: Search field, status and extension filter badges, Clear button.
- Sequence table: Scrollable list of sequences with sortable columns and row actions.
- Status bar: Selection/filtered/total counts, scan stats, rescan control, and task list.

Filter bar
- Search: Type to filter by name or path. Use
/pattern/for regex. - Status: Toggle Healthy, Missing, Updating (frames recently written).
- Ext: Toggle by file extension (e.g. exr, dpx). Click Clear to reset filters.
Sequence table
- Sort: View → Sort by — Name, Directory, Range, Frames, Size, Resolution, Modified, Status.
- Selection: Click rows or use Select menu (Select All, Deselect All, Select Healthy, Select Missing, Select by Extension).
- Expand/collapse: Expand a row to see the detail panel with frame thumbnails. View menu: Expand All, Collapse All, Expand Selection, Collapse Selection.
- Row actions (per sequence or via context menu): Quick Play, Reveal in folder, Copy, Move, Export as ZIP, Export as MP4, Export as CSV.
Export and copy
- File → Export: Export as ZIP…, Export as MP4…, Export as CSV… (selection or filtered list), or Export Project as CSV… (all sequences).
- Copy / Move: From row context menu or selection. Copy dialog offers modes: Preserve hierarchy, Per sequence, Flat. Conflicts (existing files) can be resolved during the operation.
Preferences
File → Preferences… (Ctrl/Cmd+,):
- Appearance: Theme (System / Light / Dark).
- Scanning: Extensions to detect (at least one required), Ignore patterns (glob or keyword, one per line).
- General: Updating threshold (seconds), Recent projects limit.
Changes are saved automatically.
